The company EV Electra, which bought the Emily GT electric car project last fall, has now also bought a car factory in Italy. For that reason, the information is now spreading that it is here that the Emily GT will be built, and that Trollhättan will thus miss out on production.

Among other things, Trollhättan’s local newspaper TTELA was quick to draw conclusions. That information is now denied by the company’s CEO Jihad Mohammed. The factory in Italy is indeed intended to build electric cars, but that it would be about the Emily GT is not true. Jihad says that the company has acquired many companies in recent months and has even more in the works.

– I have not spoken to anyone in the Swedish media and I did not give any details either positive or negative…. nothing simply. I don’t know if there is another version of me they are talking to, says Jihad Mohammaed.

– What is the point of making up stories and drama? Who is financing this?, Jihad wonders.

In December, Jihad told in an interview how he planned to realize the Emily GT project. It involves, among other things, contract manufacturing, and with the ultimate goal of locating production in Trollhättan in the long term.
