The Canadian megastar Celine Dion, who was forced to cancel her world tour last year after she suffered from the unusual neurological disease stiff person syndrome, has given an interview for the first time since the announcement of the illness.
For French Vogue, the 56-year-old singer tells that she feels well but that the disease requires hard work. Five days a week, she undergoes various forms of treatment.
– I have not defeated the disease, it is still in me and always will be. I’m hoping for a miracle, a way to cure it with scientific research, but right now I have to learn to live with it.
Dion also says in the interview that she cannot answer if she will return to the stage again.
– I do not know. My body will tell me about it, Celine Dion told Vogue.
