In the proposal put forward by the Norwegian Property Agency regarding the future of the Royal Opera House after the renovation and rebuilding, it is proposed that the Court Chapel should permanently use Musikaliska’s premises for rehearsals. It is not only Opera’s employees who criticize the proposal, the Musical Quarter is also critical:

“The consequence will be that the city is losing another one of its most historic houses for live music”, writes director of operations Andil Dahl to SvD. The wind symphonies have indeed left Musikaliska, but the program activities are growing. Here you can also find the folk and world music scene Stallet and the musician collective Blinda Tigern.
