Emma Stone, which is her real name Emily Jean Stonesays in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she would like to stop using her stage name.
– I went out a couple of years ago. For some reason I felt that “I can’t do this anymore. Just call me Emily”.
Stone took the stage name “Emma Stone” when she joined the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) in the United States. She then needed to use a different name because the union already had an actress registered as “Emily Stone”.
However, the actress says that some of her colleagues have now started using her real name. This can be heard, among other things, in this video together with “Poor Things” director Yorgos Lanthimos. If fans would like to do the same, Stone wouldn’t mind either.
– It would have been so nice. I would have loved to have been Emily.
