The number of employed pensioners has doubled in the last 20 years according to Statistics Norway.

Rose-Marie Lindberg, 73 years old, worked at night as a nurse at Sunderbyn hospital and still likes to move in. Every time the manager calls and needs reinforcements, she is happy to step up.

For her, it’s about staying active.

– I would have gone crazy if I just sat at home in the apartment all day.

When she is not working, she is involved in the local PRO association and the tenant association.

– My father said to me when I moved away from home: “Now you join Konsum and Tenants Association, you have to be active otherwise you will become old and demented”, says Rose-Marie Lindberg.

In the clip, you can hear what drives her to keep working.
