Surahammar at the top when it comes to business service

Every year, Sweden’s Municipalities and Regions compiles a national customer survey which is a direct quality measurement of the municipalities’ exercise of authority and service.

In the survey, business owners can assess the municipalities’ service and efficiency in six areas of authority: fire protection, building permits, land licensing, environmental and health protection, food inspection and service licenses when it comes to:

• information

• accessibility

• treatment

• competence

• efficiency

With a Satisfied Customer Index (NKI) of 84, on a scale of 0-100, Surahammar ranks as the best municipality in the county and in 11th place in the whole country.

– A good business climate is extremely important to us in Surahammar municipality. Many companies in our municipality are doing well and this result shows that our municipality is a really good place to run a business. Here, everyone is involved and contributes to continued development, says municipal board chairwoman Johanna Olofsson (M) in a press release from the municipality of Surahammar.

The entrepreneurs are most satisfied with the municipality’s attitude, the opportunity to get in touch with the right person(s) and treatment that everyone receives above a grade of 90. The average value for NKI for all participating municipalities is 75. According to SKR’s NKI grading, 62 to 69 is a pass results, 70 to 80 is considered high and 80 or higher is considered very high.

It is truly a testament to the fine work that my colleagues who work in the exercise of authority carry out every day for good cooperation between the companies and the municipality. The ambition is to continue developing our service and availability, says Maria Granberg, head of business in Surahammar municipality.
