In connection with the police checking two people outside Attunda district court, a weapon-like object was discovered.
The item, which is suspected to be a firearm, has been sent on for a technical examination and the two people have been arrested on suspicion of serious weapons offences.
– We have checked two people outside the district court and investigation measures are underway in this matter now, the police told Expressen earlier on Wednesday.
According to information to Expressen, the arrested are two teenage boys, 16 and 17 years old. At least one of them was armed with automatic weapons. The men are suspected of having been there to shoot someone in or near the court building, Expressen learns.
According to the information, the men have been arrested on suspicion of preparation for murder. They were arrested in the afternoon.
– The two people are arrested on probable cause, suspected of serious weapons offences. They will be interviewed by a defense attorney shortly, says Annie Nilsson at the public prosecutor’s office’s press service.

The arrest took place outside the district court. But according to information to Expressen, at least one of those arrested has previously been outside a courtroom where a trial is in progress. In security room 2, the trial about the mass shooting in Farsta last summer, when two people were killed, is ongoing. According to the prosecutor, the shooting was ordered by the Foxtrot network.
In the Attunda District Court, an appeal hearing is also underway in another gang trial. It applies, among other things, to public destruction and attempted murder in connection with an explosion in Hässelby last year. That target is also connected to the Foxtrot network. One theory is that it was the trial that the now-arrested teenage boys were interested in, Expressen learns.
One of the arrested was observed by people on the spot who recognized him during the arrest. On an earlier occasion during the same trial, a person managed to get into the security room, where suspects and plaintiffs are sitting, but could be turned away directly by security guards.
Arrested boys previously convicted
Both teenagers are registered in Växjö.
The 16-year-old was recently sentenced to youth care for shooting a gun into a home. He committed the crime many miles from home. The judgment shows that for some time the social service has had a concern about being part of criminal networks.
The 17-year-old has also recently been sentenced and taken into custody according to the LVU. He was sentenced to juvenile supervision for having drugs and a loaded gun on him. According to one of the intervening policemen, before the arrest he had been in contact with a person who belongs to the middle layer of a criminal network.
The police do not want to say anything about the data.
– It is a police operation about which I will not answer any questions. It’s purely police, says Lars-Gunnar Gustafsson, head of security at the district court.
Expressen has contacted Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer, who via his press secretary refers to the police authority.
