It was in Boden at the end of the summer of 2023 that a man in his 60s repeatedly tried to hit a moped rider.
The man who was driving a car thought that the young moped rider was too close and braked in front of him to such an extent that the moped rider had to move onto the pavement, whereupon the moped rider, according to the man, showed an “obscene gesture”.
The driver then followed the moped onto the pavement, say witnesses to the incident.
Took a strangle hold
When the moped finally stopped at a shop, the car driver pushed the young man into a corner and grabbed his helmet and shook him. Witnesses also say that he has his hand around his neck.
The man, who had previously been unpunished, is sentenced to ten months in prison for attempted serious assault, assault and molestation.
