Terrified people fled in panic as wild shooting broke out at the Farsta metro station.

Several of them are now speaking in the district court about their experiences at the double murder.

– When I ran I just thought, it must not happen today, I don’t want to be shot in the back, said one woman.

A 15-year-old boy and a 43-year-old man died and four more people were injured by bullets or shrapnel when a man opened fire with an automatic weapon on a crowd outside the subway station in southern Stockholm on the evening of June 10 last year.

Another 13 people risked being met, according to the indictment.

The trial against the four young men who are charged after the shooting began last week and continued on Thursday with prosecution interviews. A friend of the 15-year-old said that he first heard screams, then shots.

– We looked around, then everyone just ran away, said the boy, who was injured by shrapnel in the leg.

– While I was running, I felt how it burned on my skin.

Hit in the leg

Another boy who was at the scene was hit by a bullet just above the knee.

– The sound was so loud, it sounded like firecrackers, said the boy, now 16 years old.

He fled into a nearby pizzeria and only then discovered his injury.

– There was a hole in my trousers on the left leg. I saw some blood, then I knew I had been shot.

A woman sitting at a nearby bench watched as the shooter arrived at the scene in an orange BMW. It parked right next to her.

– Then the car was opened and I saw that someone was sitting in the passenger seat. Then I saw that he had a very long firearm, the woman told the court.

She thought maybe it was a filming, or a joke.

– But when he got out of the car and lifted the weapon with his hands, then I heard the shots. Then I knew this was real.

The woman fled in panic. She fell, but got up and ran on.

– I heard constant gunfire, very loud: bang, bang, bang, bang.

Hunted on E4

The shooter was arrested a while later along with the driver, after the getaway car broke down after a dramatic chase on E4. According to the indictment, the shooter must have raised the weapon at the following police car, which the police officers testified to in court.

– I am mentally prepared to die at work, but I know that I thought that “today is the day I will not come home”, said one of the police officers.

The shooter has confessed to the murders, but the other defendants deny it.

The investigation has not been able to determine with certainty who was the target in Farsta, but according to the prosecutor, it was the Foxtrot network that ordered the act as part of a conflict with the Dalen network.
