Stora Sköndal Foundation
The largest local sports association and the largest local employer are working together in Sköndal. As of April 17, the Stora Sköndal foundation is the main sponsor for Sköndals IK Football.
– Through the collaboration, we at the foundation get the opportunity to actively support children and young people in the local area and contribute to increasing the “together feeling” in Sköndal. For us, it is important that Sköndal’s Football is a broad association where everyone can participate, and where the family’s finances do not affect the child’s opportunity to play, says Åsa Andersson, director of the Stora Sköndal foundation, in a press release.
Through the sponsorship agreement, the foundation becomes the largest donor to the football club’s social fund: the Sköndalsfonden, which will help families with poorer finances with, for example, membership fees and training clothes.
– We are very happy. The collaboration will develop the club’s operations in the coming years and contribute to us being able to continue to grow in step with the large movement that is taking place in Sköndal, says Ulf Olofsson, responsible for sponsorship and collaborations at the club, in the press release,
Sköndals IK Fotboll, with its home field at Sandåkra ball field, has approximately 700 active members between the ages of 5 and 17, and approximately 100 leaders. The sponsorship agreement is signed for two years.
