The Echo has called around to several regions, where at the moment there are no big consequences for healthcare in connection with the Vårdförbundet’s blockade.

But in Stockholm, the region’s chief physician Johan Bratt says that orthopedic operations have been affected.

– We have had to cancel planned operations, about 20 or so. On occasional occasions we have had to resort to protective work, it has concerned ambulance operations, he tells Ekot.

Protective work is something the region can do in certain situations, despite the blockade, in cases where, for example, there is a danger to life.

Blocked against overtime and overtime

It was during Thursday that over 60,000 members of the Vårdförbundet went on strike against, among other things, overtime and overtime.

– We need reasonable conditions to be able to cope with a full professional life, said Sineva Ribeiro, the chairman of the Healthcare Association, to SVT on Thursday.
