The suspected assault must have taken place in the Stockholm area on Wednesday morning. The passenger then took a taxi from his group home to his daily business, according to information.
During the trip, the taxi driver allegedly made sexual invitations, after which he performed a sexual act on him, according to the suspects.
The taxi driver, who is 55 years old, is now under arrest on suspicion of rape.
The prosecutor in the case, Rebecka Boholm, does not go into any details about the incident due to pre-trial confidentiality, but writes in an email:
– I can confirm that I am the preliminary investigation leader in a case concerning rape on April 24 in southern Stockholm where there is a suspect who is currently in custody.
The taxi stood still for ten minutes
The man himself must have told the staff about what happened to him in the day-to-day operations. The taxi company has been able to see that the taxi was stationary for about ten minutes shortly after the man was picked up, Expressen learns.
The suspected taxi driver has been driving taxis for many years. About 15 years ago, his taxi driver’s license was revoked after he was convicted of assaulting a relative. He appealed the decision, and the Court of Appeal allowed him to keep his ID, on the grounds, among other things, that the crime he was convicted of had nothing to do with his profession.
