Teracom is a state-owned company that owns and operates the ground network for radio and TV in Sweden. On Thursday evening, the company raised the alarm about major operational disruptions for TV channels in northern Sweden.
“There are currently interruptions on all TV channels affecting Dalarna, Gävleborg, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Västerbotten and Norrbotten counties”writes Teracom on its website.
Teracom’s press contact Beatrice Lorentzon states shortly before 8 p.m. that staff are troubleshooting. It is still unclear what exactly caused the operational disruptions, but it is believed to be a technical problem.
– For the most part, it should be resolved for the majority of households, says Beatrice Lorentzon.
