The man in his 40s who is suspected of murdering his two children in Södertälje has been requested to be detained. The father agrees to be detained, states his lawyer Mikael Westerlund during the detention hearing in Södertälje district court.

It was on Wednesday evening that the two minor children were found dead in a residence in Södertälje. According to the suspects, the murders were already committed on Tuesday.
At the home, in addition to the man, there was another adult family member, a woman, who was arrested on suspicion of murder. She was released on Thursday and is no longer a suspect.
In connection with the alarm, the man was taken to hospital with what were deemed to be serious injuries.
