It has only been a couple of weeks since the Swedish players Adam Reideborn, goalkeeper and Fredrik Claesson, back, lifted the trophy as champions in the Gagarin Cup.

During the year, the Swedish players have had to endure a lot of criticism for choosing to play in the KHL, after Russia attacked Ukraine.

Reideborn signed a two-year contract with CSKA in the spring of 2021, and chose to complete the agreement unlike the other Swedish players in the team Klas Dahlbeck and Joakim Nordström who left the club.

CSKA Moscow has come to be an extra sensitive club choice in these times as the club is strongly connected to the Russian army, with its real name “Central Army Sports Club Moscow”.

Fredrik Claesson chose to extend his contract.

But for Adam Reideborn, his time at the club is over when the contract expires.

It has previously been rumored that despite this he will sign a new contract in the KHL.

But it won’t be like that.

According to what Expressen has learned, Reideborn now chooses to move to another part of Europe, which is a much less controversial choice.

Namely, games in Switzerland, and Bern, which has been looking for an established first-choice goalkeeper for the coming season.

Brynäs’ Finnish national team goalkeeper Jussi Olkinuora has been on the news, but he will now not play for Bern when Reideborn becomes the club’s choice. It opens up for Modo, who has also shown an interest in the Finn.
