Reveals: The sniper ready for the Hockeyallsvenskan

On March 25, Expressen revealed that Björklöven wanted to sign HV71’s sharpshooter Fredrik Forsberg.

But there has been a financial part to solve as Forsberg has one year left on the contract with HV71, something that has now been solved. According to an informant to Hockeynews, Fredrik Forsberg is only details away from signing for Björklöven.

If nothing unforeseen happens, the signing will be presented shortly.

Fredrik Forsberg was noted for 41 games in the SHL this season and accounted for eight points. In the qualifier against Oskarshamn, he was relegated to the stands and the 27-year-old was only substituted in a single qualifying match.

Fredrik Forsberg has previously had great success in the Hockeyallsvenskan and he had his very best season in the league in HV71 2021/2022 when he accounted for 54 points in 46 games.

Björklöven has previously done with Marcus “Lilliz” Nilsson from Färjestad and thus gets a dreaded first chain next season.
