A couple of weeks ago, a new product appeared in an update of the Ikea Home Smart app. Now the Ikea Rodret remote control has been published on the Swedish website.
Ikea Rodret is a new remote control with functions to dim, turn on and turn off up to 10 light sources at the same time. By connecting it to the Dirigera hub, more functions can be obtained when it comes to controlling light sources from Ikea.
The remote control can be easily attached on the supplied wall bracket or via a built-in magnet. It can also be connected to the Wireless Gateway.
Maximum range is 10 meters when the signal is not blocked by walls. Unlike the older remote controls, button cell batteries are not used, but a regular AAA battery is needed.
The Ikea Rodret measures 4 centimeters in width, 7 centimeters in height and 3 centimeters in terms of thickness. The weight is 60 grams and the enclosure class is IP44.
Recommended price is SEK 79 but the remote doesn’t seem to have appeared in stores yet.
