According to information to 9to5Google, Google will soon show off the next generation 4K Chromecast with Google TV. It was four years since its predecessor was launched and two years ago that Google launched the latest Chromecast with Google TV – but only with HD resolution.

The new Chromecast model with Google TV will offer the same 4K resolution as the 2020 model and will also cost the same at launch – $50 or just over SEK 800 with VAT and fees.

According to Android Police, the new Chromecast is likely to use Amlogic’s S905X5 chips. The new model should also get a doubled storage of 16 GB and possibly 4 GB of RAM memory.

Earlier, Google happened to show off a new remote control that will come with the new Chromecast model. The remote will have a new star button that can take you to applications you’ve starred.
