Already in December, Jihad Mohammad, CEO of EV Electra, announced that they wanted to invest in production in Europe, according to Carup.se, and now it is clear that the company will begin production in Italy, something that Ttela also told about.
Initially, there was information that the Emily GT electric car, which was developed by Nevs in Trollhättan, would be manufactured at the factory. The promise of car production in Trollhättan would therefore not be fulfilled.
In an SMS to SVT Nyheter Väst, Jihad Mohammad refutes that information.
“Don’t know yet. We have not decided which cars we will make in Italy.”
Decision on production of Emily GT will come at the end of the month. Jihad Mohammed also writes on social media:
“Yes… We made an offer to buy a vehicle factory in Italy and it was finally approved yesterday (not the Marerati factory) and in this new playground we will build electric cars that will shock everyone”.
