Della Dufour, 21, usually works as a babysitter for a single family, but is also a restaurant nanny at the design pub Sjöstaden Skybar in Stockholm. There she takes care of small children while the parents eat.
The restaurant’s new venture is families with children, and in addition to free babysitting in the form of a dedicated restaurant nanny, they offer a private chambre séparée for the youngest.
As a nanny, 21-year-old Della gives the children attention, does crafts and makes sure that the children are well. In the premises there is also a separate craft room where children between the ages of 3 and 10 can draw, create and tinker. She thinks it is noticeable that the children like that it is not just a place for adults:
– My role is to make sure they have a good time while the parents enjoy the brunch in peace.

“The need is great”
Dan Darmetko, who works at the pub, confirms that they are often fully booked.
– The nanny gives the children attention, helps them with various chores and has an overview. We think that if the children are well, the parents are also well. The need is great.
The restaurant also invests in a special children’s menu with popular children’s dishes and colorful cocktails for the children. Something that can also feel extra exciting and tickling for the children is the view. The pub is located on the 28th floor, a whopping 102 meters above ground.
