Last year, the Discrimination Ombudsman received almost 4,000 reports. The organization Agera Värmland, which works for democracy and human rights, received 43 notifications in 2023. This is the highest number so far.

– It has increased every year since we started, except during the pandemic, says Per Hydén, director of operations.

In 2021, Agera Värmland received 27 reports of discrimination and the following year 38.

The most common place to be exposed is in the workplace.

The most common points of discrimination are disability and ethnicity.
