Authority dialogue with the County Administrative Board Stockholm – News

On April 17, a digital authority dialogue was held with the Stockholm County Administrative Board. Region Stockholm was present and presented the consultation proposal for a new regional development plan.

Present at the meeting were representatives from: the Swedish Armed Forces, the Maritime and Water Authority, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Stockholm County Administrative Board, the Swedish Public Safety and Emergency Management Agency, the Swedish Post and Telecommunications Agency, Stockholm Region, Svenska Kraftnät and the Swedish Transport Agency.

An authority dialogue aims to promote openness, democracy and efficient administration. It is a process where authorities, government and other public actors collaborate with each other, citizens, interest groups and others concerned to solve problems and jointly arrive at decisions that affect society. It is about creating an open and constructive dialogue to understand needs, collect opinions and information.

The meeting was hosted by the Stockholm County Administrative Board and Growth Director Anna Conzen began with a few words about the importance of the Stockholm region in a national and international perspective. She also highlighted the common vision that our region should be Europe’s most attractive metropolitan region in which to live, live and work.

The Stockholm County Administrative Board also described its role in the consultation as coordinator of the views received from the state authorities. You also have a responsibility to ensure that the Planning and Building Act is followed and to look more closely at inter-municipal issues such as water use.

Some issues raised and discussed during the meeting were:

• Digital infrastructure in the technical supply systems
• National interests and their accounting
• Planning of marine areas and offshore wind power
• Need for hubs for electric aircraft and drones
• The total defense

The meeting was very fruitful and the consultation will receive several valuable referral responses from the authorities via the Stockholm County Administrative Board.
