Everything seems to be going well for Ali Memarchi when he is looking for a job in a regular department at Telia. He moves forward in the recruitment process and salary negotiations.

When the company asks if it can security test him, he is never worried. He is unpunished, his father works as a janitor, his siblings work at a Swedish bank.

A few minutes later, he receives an email from the person in charge of recruitment:

Asked if the parents came from Iran

Immediately got a question: “Do you know if the candidate only has Swedish citizenship and if so is Iran the origin of his parents?”

Three minutes later, Ali Memarchi replies:

“Of course I have Swedish citizenship and a passport. I’m Swedish
