Next week it’s time for Valborg. But for those who want to organize a public Walburg fair celebration with a Walburg fair fire, new rules apply. From 1 January this year, you must apply for a dispensation from the municipality for burning garden waste. This applies to both associations and private individuals.

If you want to organize a bonfire in connection with a public event to which the public has access, permission from the police is also required.

It is not permitted to burn garden waste in a detailed planned area in Växjö municipality. Garden waste must be composted on site or recycled.
