Among other things, ITV posted footage where two loose horses are seen galloping along the streets. The Guardian reported that it involved at least five horses.
The animals, belonging to the Army’s Household Cavalry unit, ran in panic into both cars and buses and one of the horses was covered in blood.
– A number of military workhorses got loose during a routine exercise on Wednesday morning. All the horses are back where they belong, a police spokesperson told The Telegraph.
According to several British media, the horses threw off their riders. Four people have been injured, three of whom are soldiers. The BBC reports that the injured people are being treated in hospital for their injuries, but that they are not considered life-threatening.
The horses were stopped on a highway after a couple of hours of hunting, and taken to a veterinarian.
An eyewitness told ITV that it became a stressful situation that scared people and forced them to flee in different directions to avoid being run over.
