Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling about the new action comedy “The fall guy”

--

We see Ryan Gosling in the role of stuntman Colt Seavers. Emily Blunt plays his love interest, debutant director Jody Moreno.

Their relationship is put to the test when Gosling’s character breaks his back after a dangerous stunt. He is also forced to go on a life-threatening hunt for his missing actor double.

In the footage, it looks like Ryan Golsing is flung around in the air, burning and spinning. But when Kulturnyheterna talks to him, he mainly gives credit to the stuntmen.

– Everything that required real skill was done by our fantastic stuntmen. Ben Jenkin, Logan Holladay, Troy Brown and Justin Eaton.

“Never want to do it again”

Emily Blunt says that she was much more daring when she was younger and worked with stunts in various film projects.

– There were things I did in “Edge of Tomorrow” that felt very scary. And I was actually very scared during my entrance in Mary Poppins, says Emily Blunt.

In “Mary Poppins Returns” (2018), Blunt sails down from the sky holding an umbrella and then lands seamlessly.

– I did three shots and felt my tolerance run out in the middle. I felt “I’m done now, I never want to do that again ever”.

“If you lose your way, you’ll hit someone”

Ryan Gosling says that one of his scariest stunt memories was during the filming of “The fall guy”.

– It didn’t make it into the film, but I was going to drive in donuts and all the stuntmen formed a circle around me. They wanted me to do it with them around me. So it was a bit like “if you lose your way, you’ll hit someone”.
