Apple is said to have overestimated the VR hype

Analysts claim that Apple overestimated the interest, and now the new model may be in danger.

It is Apple expert and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who, in a new report, predicts a not particularly bright future for Apple’s VR venture. According to Kuo, Apple overestimated how much interest would be in the Vision Pro, and that it is now believed to sell between 400,000 and 450,000 units in 2024, compared to the 800,000 that was the original forecast. The reduced forecast also comes before a broad international launch, which is said to indicate that the cool interest in the US is an indication of cool interest abroad as well.

According to the report, Apple is also evaluating whether to release a new version of Vision Pro in 2025 or whether to scrap those plans.
