Swedish and foreign networks smuggle tons of cocaine through Sweden.
Now customs have made a record-breaking seizure.

Customs has made a record-breaking seizure of cocaine in the port of Helsingborg.
Since last autumn, a total of 1.3 tons of cocaine have been seized in the port, or in European ports where the cargo was destined for Helsingborg.
– It is completely unprecedented in Swedish criminal history, says Magnus Pettersson, prosecutor at the National Unit against International and Organized Crime, at a press conference.
Cocaine, which originally comes from South America. It is suspected that the trade is run by both Swedish and foreign networks.
– It is hidden in the container construction, in walls, floors and the spaces for the cooling units, says Magnus Pettersson.
– A smaller part was probably intended for the Swedish market, but the greater part was going on, he continues.
Since May 12 alone, 450 kilos of cocaine have been seized. The degree of purity is high and thus the value of the drug.
