Aleksander Aamodt Kilde had recently crossed the finish line when the televised images from the super G races in Italy were switched to a urinating Adrian Smiseth Sejersted.

The Viaplay commentators Kajsa Kling and Erik Jerner fell silent in shock, before the broadcast quickly moved on to the next skater.

After the race, the Norwegian camp reacted strongly to the incident.

– This should not be allowed to happen. And as I understood it, the cameraman was filming and realized that this was what Adrian was doing, that he was going to the toilet, says Aleksander Aamodt Kilde to VG.

– It is permissible to use a little intelligence when it comes to the arrangement there. I don’t really know what the cameraman was thinking there. It’s a very strange situation, continues Kilde.

“We will follow up on this”

Press officer for the Norwegian alpinists, Claes-Tommy Herland, tells VG that he will follow up on what happened on Saturday.

– Adrian has received many reactions to the photos. As the press officer, I will follow up on this further internally in the ski association and with the relevant actors, says Herland.

Viaplay is clear that the mistake was not theirs, but the company that distributes the broadcasts.

– It came from a “world feed”, otherwise there are no naked Norwegians on the server. There is a gentleman’s agreement about that, says the sports director of Norwegian Viaplay, Critian Oma, to VG.
