According to BNN, he was involved in a car accident during an illegal street race in Lesnoy Gorodok outside Moscow on Friday night.

Crashed at high speed

Russian Sport-Express writes that Karakin was driving a Nissan GT-R, with more than 540 horsepower, and crashed into a fence at high speed.
